Aircraft:USN:F/A-18 “Hornet”

The F/A-18 “Hornet” was introduced in 1984 and was vital to the U.S. Navy just a few years later during Operation Prairie Fire and Operation El Dorado Canyon. Also used in Operation Desert Storm, the F/A-18 has been used in Operation Southern Watch, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Note, it is the aircraft of choice of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. The variants are F/A-18A (single seat); F/A-18B (two-seat); F/A-18C (single seat); F/A-18D (two-seat); - Super Hornet F/A-18E (single seat); F/A-18F (two seat).
