The problem

I am requesting support for the Tank Monitor TLC2206 device to be included in the Tuya integration in Home Assistant.

This device is used to monitor water tank levels and is commonly used in residential and industrial applications. I would like to use this device within Home Assistant for automation purposes — for example, to monitor the tank water level and automatically turn on or off a water valve based on the level.

Device information

  • Device Name: Tank Monitor TLC2206
  • Type: Water Tank Level Sensor / Monitor
  • Communication Method: (Please specify if it uses Wi-Fi, )
  • Controlled via: ( Smart Life app )
  • Tuya Device ID: (Provide the Tuya device ID if available from iot.tuya.com)
  • Tuya Category: (If known — e.g., ms for sensor, switch, etc.)

Desired functionality

I want to:

  • View the tank water level as an entity in Home Assistant (e.g., percentage or distance)
  • Use it in Home Assistant automations
  • Trigger a smart valve or switch when the tank level reaches specific thresholds

Additional context

  • This device is already added in the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app and is working properly.
  • It does not currently show up or function in the Home Assistant Tuya integration.
  • I have access to the Tuya IoT platform and can share device information if needed.

I would greatly appreciate it if this device type could be supported in the official Tuya integration, or if there are any workarounds.

Thank you!
