Copilot Does not detect completion of npm command #256627

I am running via WSL on windows.
I made a request for copilot to setup a npm project, and Copilot suggested commands to run (e.g. npm install express or npm init -y).
I accept the suggestion and I see the command run and complete in the terminal, but in the copilot chat I just see a spinning circle next to the suggested command for several minutes after the command completed in the terminal.
