Like you, our team has been hurting this month. We’re heartbroken by the killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent. We’re outraged by ICE’s aggressive abductions of our neighbors and its intentional campaign of terror. In Minnesota, where most of our team is based, we’re directly affected — when our kids’ schools and daycares are closed, when we watch out for ICE in our neighborhoods, and when we and our loved ones live in fear of racial profiling and retaliation. This is not right and we can’t stay quiet. Community, labor, and faith groups have called for a Day of Truth and Freedom on Friday, January 23 — “no work, no school, no shopping” to send the message “ICE Out of Minnesota.” Software for Good is joining local businesses in closing on Friday, the 23rd, in solidarity with these organizations, striking workers, and everyone affected by ICE’s actions in Minnesota and beyond. We’re encouraging our employees, clients, and partners to participate in resistance and mutual aid, including: * Donating to, volunteering with, and amplifying the organizations listed here: https://lnkd.in/gXmYRpch * Supporting immigrant-owned and other local businesses affected by ICE’s invasion, including those closing on Friday — running list here: https://lnkd.in/gdZJvP-b * Joining the official protest march in downtown Minneapolis: https://lnkd.in/gn44UyxP For those not in Minnesota, please consider supporting your local immigrant communities, ICE watch efforts, and mutual aid funds.

We build tech to help people do more good.
About us
We are engineers, designers, and strategists who use our skills for good. Our company started in Minneapolis, and many of us still live here — but we’ve been fully remote since 2020, and today we build software with love from coast to coast. We’re a wildly diverse group of people, but we all believe that data and technology can help all communities cultivate abundance and liberation.
