The coordinator listed may make it seem like one is not necessary, and I don't watch the mailing list which means I won't be able to help anyone who messages it.

Was this not meant to be overseen by the EB?

My understanding is that the EB is only required for unresponsive coördinators. Here, the previous one explicitly requested to step down after being pinged on this PR.

cc @willingc, since this process is not defined anywhere specifically except that translations are in the charter of the EB, should all coordinator changes go through the EB? From earlier discussions that was my conclusion.

Also, why use the much less common spelling of coordinator?
