Some more visitors to our Clifton garden this year

All were again taken through the closed window. The Tree Sparrow is really just a record shot to prove it was there. I got better shots here in Feb 2009

More Birds from my Clifton garden

A single Tree Sparrow visited my garden again today. It was not easy to get an angle avoiding intrusive branches etc and these were taken through the window. At leat it proves it was there!

Blackcap is a regularly overwintering species here though this year I have only seen a female.

Tree Sparrow

Tuesday 13th January, the flock of tree sparrows still showing well at Clifton although quite mobile from one field to the other, helped by a local sparrowhawk too. Also later that day a Harrier species flew across a field between Wrestlingworth and Cockayne Hatley, seen while walking my dog.

More Tree Sparrows

This is one of several Tree Sparrows Steve Heath has found near Southill. It's great to think they are still hanging on in 'middle' Bedfordshire.
